Report Claims OnePlus May Exit US, Europe and India as Oppo Restructures Global Business

OnePlus could be preparing to scale down its presence in several major international markets, including the United States, Europe, and India, according to a new report. The move is said to be part of a broader global restructuring strategy by its parent company, Oppo, although the company has not officially confirmed the claims.

The report suggests that OnePlus may announce plans to wind down operations in the US and parts of Europe as early as this week, with India potentially following at a later stage. Earlier reports about a possible exit had been denied by OnePlus, but the latest claims indicate the restructuring could now be moving forward.

If the reported plans materialise, OnePlus could eventually discontinue operations in most markets outside China, including India, sometime next year. However, no official timeline has been announced by the company.

The restructuring is also expected to affect sister brand Realme, which may withdraw from selected international markets while focusing on regions where it continues to perform strongly. Reports indicate that Oppo intends to strengthen its presence in Central Europe, while Realme could prioritise Nordic countries.

In recent months, OnePlus has already introduced several operational changes. Customer service for OnePlus devices in India has reportedly been integrated with Oppo's service network, fuelling speculation about further consolidation between the two brands.

Reports have also suggested that Oppo plans to unify the software experience across its brands by replacing OnePlus' OxygenOS and Realme UI with ColorOS, although all three operating systems already share a common codebase.

The reported restructuring comes at a time when the global smartphone industry is facing slower demand, rising component costs, and increased pricing pressures, particularly in the mid-range smartphone segment.
